Wings and Things
Flight is nature’s most precise intersection of physics and artistry. This collection is a dedicated study of the fast, fragile, and fleeting elements of the natural world—from the explosive kinetics of birds in flight to the intricate macro-geometry of butterflies. By combining extreme technical precision with patient observation, these images isolate the delicate structures and visual rhythms of creatures that are rarely still enough for the human eye to truly appreciate.
SOCIAL COMMENTARY
"Walking the Plastic Tightrope"
I took this image of a Spotted Sandpiper searching for invertebrates along the limestone shelves of the Ottawa River, directly flanked by discarded plastic piping and synthetic fragments. Captured near the Britannia Water Purification Plant; this image serves as a stark reminder of the global collision between urban optimization and the fragility of individual life. We build complex systems to filter our own water, yet leave the natural arteries of our ecosystems littered with the indelible footprint of consumer convenience.
Professional Series
Below are snippets from my first professional "contract". The assignment was to photograph The Ottawa Rumblers Cheer and Stunt Team warming up and practicing their stunts just prior to a Ottawa Bears Lacrosse game at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa. To say the assignment was a challenge would be the understanding of a lifetime. However, as you see below, the many of the pictures turned out splendid.

Dan did a great job at this year’s March Tennis Club Annual Tournament here in Kanata. Really good quality photos and angles! Really recommend his work for whatever photography work you need done! Very nice guy too!
I met Dan at our local tennis club championships for. He took the time to talk to the players and the photographs depict his personal touch. Sports photography is challenging... so many balls in the air pardon the pun! Dan did an amazing job, capturing action shots that made me smile and seized the moment and made our sport shine.
